ANNIVERSARY: BISHOPS MARRIED 50 YEARS

ORAN, Mo. -- The Rev. Delbert and Marjorie Bishop of Oran observed their 50th wedding anniversary May 13, 2001.

A reception hosted by their family will be held from 2-4 p.m. June 2 at Oran Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Bishop and Marjorie Weddle were married May 13, 1951, in Amity, Ind. Their attendants were Jack Bishop, his brother, and Kathy Weddle, her sister. They married in 1955 and live at Chaffee, Mo.

Bishop is the son of the late Archie and Margaret Rose Bishop of Jackson, Mo. Mrs. Bishop is the daughter of the late Robert and Amy Weddle of Morgantown, Ind.

Bishop has been a Southern Baptist minister 50 years, and is pastor at Bement Baptist Church near Sikeston.

The couple has three sons, Dean Bishop and wife Patti of Dexter, Mo., Jeff Bishop of Columbia, Mo., and Maj. Timothy Bishop and wife Debbie of Bellevue, Neb.

The couple has four grandchildren, Beau Dean Bishop and wife Crystal of Dexter, Megan Bishop of Dexter, Jessica Bishop and Nicholas Bishop of Bellevue; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Bishop of Dexter.

Another son, Bruce David Bishop, is deceased.
