Zulema Fulkerson

Zulema Fulkerson, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 4, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Feb. 4, 1922, in Conway County, Ark., daughter of Irving and Ella Bryant Harrington. She and Glenn Dallas Fulkerson were married Aug. 28, 1942, at Charleston, Mo.

Fulkerson had worked at the Army Corps of Engineers Personnel Department in St. Louis, retiring in 1974. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Glenn M. Fulkerson of Kewadin, Mich.; two brothers, Ben Harrington of Walnut Creek, Calif., Bobby Bryant of San Ramon, Calif.; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
