ANNA, Ill. -- Zula F. Lyerla, 83, of Anna died Saturday, May 23, 1998, at the City Care Center in Anna.
She was born Jan. 10, 1915, at Wolf Lake, daughter of Oliver Hamilton and Minnie Hatley Smith.
She married Milas E. Lyerla on Aug. 21, 1932, at Jonesboro. He died Feb. 6, 1970.
She was a homemaker and member of the Jonesboro Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include three sons, M.R. Lyerla of Columbus, Ohio, Jim Lyerla of Anna and Joe Lyerla of Jonesboro; six daughters, Louise Hyde of Zepher Hills, Fla., Shirley Myers of Aurora, Elaine Penningor and Carolyn Ury, both of Anna, Bonnie Casey of Oquawaka and Linda Jones of Elgin; three sisters, Beulah Rothschild of Anna, Juanita Harris of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Helen McMillion of New Orleans, La.; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
The Rev. Gerald Green will officiate. Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
