Zolla Dolle, 93, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Cape Girardeau and Sedgewickville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Odyssey Healthcare Center in Colorado Springs.
She was born April 18, 1914, in Bollinger County, daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Alvenia Caroline Kuhlman Johnson. She and John Henry Dolle were married July 1, 1939, in Sedgewickville.
The couple traveled many years across the United States through John Henry's work with the pipeline. John Henry passed away March 16, 1987.
Mrs. Dolle was a lifelong member of Patton Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Wake-Up Club. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, crocheting, reading and spending time with her granddaughters.
Loving survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ron Griffith of Colorado Springs; three granddaughters, Courtney Smith of Fort Myers, Fla., Jennie Griffith of Denver, and Amanda Griffith of Colorado Springs; and a brother, Lloyd Johnson of Sedgewickville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and five sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tisha Mundy officiating. Interment will follow in Patton Cemetery.
