KELSO, Mo. -- Zeta Bertha Ella "Toots" Welter, 86, of Kelso died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 20, 1932, in Benton, Missouri, to Andrew John and Mary Katherine LeDure Welter.

She worked at Florsheim Shoe in Chaffee, Missouri, and Superior Electric and Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, St. Ann's Sodality, American Legion Post 369, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by a sister, Revella Schlosser of Scott City; nieces, Pat Jenkins, Brenda (Chuck) Morrison, Nadine (Danny) Smith, Marilyn (Mark) Proffer and Geri (Brent) Beussink; nephews, Fred Welter, Gary (Becky) Schlosser, Roger (Mary Jo) Kluesner, Dennis (Cecilia) Kluesner and Curtis Kluesner; and several great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; godparents, Bertha LeDure Dumey and Louis LeDure; three brothers, Arnold, Leon and Sylvester Welter; two sisters, Betty Kluesner and Celestia Steimle; two nephews, Rick and Jim Kluesner; and a niece, Janet Welter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
