MARBLE HILL — Zella Mae Mungle, 77, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Freddie W. and Rhoda J. Masters Green. She and Sammy Mungle were married June 26, 1965.
Zella was a Woodland High School graduate. She worked at International Shoe factory and Lee Rowen/Rubbermaid, retiring in 2008. After retiring, she worked part time at Town & Country Florist in Jackson. Zella enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating for Christmas and working in her flower and vegetable garden. She loved traveling, especially to Dollywood at Christmastime.
Loving survivors include her husband; and siblings, L.R. (Leala) Green of Jackson, Betty Grindstaff of Marble Hill, Freddie (Carolyn) Green of Millersville and Jerry Green of Marble Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Peggy McElvain; and three infant brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Leslie officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories in Sedgewickville.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the Garden of Memories.
