PERRYVILLE -- Zela B. Bruce, 87, of Perryville, died Sunday, July 5, 1992 at St. Mary's Hospital in Clayton.
She was born May 30, 1905, in Silver Lake, the daughter of Dr. George A. and Minnie U. Conrad Blaylock.
She was a social worker for the Division of Family Services of Perry County for 17 years.
She married Arthur Bruce on Aug. 3, 1925. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1955.
Survivors are one son, George A. Bruce of Columbia City, Ind.; six grandchildren, one great grandchild.
She was a member and elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Perryville, and the Eastern Star of St. Mary's. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile in Evansville, Ind. and Royal Neighbors of America.
Friends may call today from 4-9 p.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville and again from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. An Eastern Star wake service also will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. David Pieplow and the Rev. James Duncan will officiate, and burial will be in the Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
