BENTON, Mo. -- Yvonne Marie McVay, 73, of Benton died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Benton to Ben and Luvina Winkler Hennemann. She married Harvey William McVay on April 20, 1963. She was the human-resources assistant supervisor for Super Value/Wetterau in Scott City. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, the St. Ann's Ladies Sodality, co-chairwoman of Greeter's Committee and volunteered at the church office...

BENTON, Mo. -- Yvonne Marie McVay, 73, of Benton died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Benton to Ben and Luvina Winkler Hennemann. She married Harvey William McVay on April 20, 1963.

She was the human-resources assistant supervisor for Super Value/Wetterau in Scott City. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, the St. Ann's Ladies Sodality, co-chairwoman of Greeter's Committee and volunteered at the church office.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey McVay; three sons, Kevin (LaGina) McVay of Cape Girardeau, Michael (Jodi) McVay of Oran, Missouri, and Shane (Tom Murphy) McVay of St. Louis; a daughter, Melanie McVay of Arnold, Missouri; three brothers, Jim Hennemann of Cape Girardeau, Donnie Hennemann of Kelso, Missouri, and Alan (Vera) Hennemann of Benton; three sisters, JoAnn (John) Schott of Oran, Jeannie (Mike) Fodge and Geri Hennemann of Benton; a sister-in-law, Sharon Hennemann of Benton; and five grandchildren, Tanner, Peyton, Hudson, Kennedi and Hayden.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Hennemann.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by a Knights of Columbus service.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery in Benton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Missouri, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132-3214.
