Yvetta Barnhart, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born May 22, 1934, in Cape Girardeau to Joe and Lela McClard Littleton. She and Phillip Barnhart were married Oct. 26, 1952, in Cape Girardeau.
Yvetta attended Washington and Lorimier Schools. She was a housekeeper for several families. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church and formerly a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a Sunday-school teacher at both churches.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Barnhart of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Steve (Darlene) Barnhart of Cape Girardeau and Chris Barnhart of Burlington, Colorado; a daughter, Cynthia (Dennis) Taylor of McClure, Illinois; two sisters, Wanda Goodman of Cape Girardeau and Peggy (Robert) Kaufman of McClure; five grandchildren, Paul Taylor and Candie Halter, Tyler Barnhart, Jordon Barnhart and Sara McCain; and seven great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Brayden and Jack, Austin, Aubrey, Noah, and Henry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four adult brothers and two infant brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
