EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for W.O. Adams of East Prairie was held Monday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. Mike Johnson and Denny Cole officiated, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near here.
Adams, 52, died Saturday, May 23, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 29, 1940, in Ridgeley, Tenn., son of Hazel Ruth Henderson Adams.
Adams was a retired carpenter, and member of Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sons, William Adams of Moberly, Richard Adams of East Prairie, Jason and Mark Adams of Cincinnati; three daughters, Gloria Adams of Indiana, Carla Wallace of Charleston, Jo Adams of Yuma, Ariz.; his mother, Hazel Rice of East Prairie; four sisters, Etta Burney and Lillie Hill of East Prairie, Willie Poole of Columbia, Miss., Elton Ramsey of Sikeston, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild.
