J.R. graduated from Prodigy Leadership Academy in Cape Girardeau in 2015. He took classes at Southeast Missouri State University. J.R. will be remembered best for his love and compassion for people; his desire to befriend all and to make them "family"; and never to judge the face value of a person, but to see them for who they were on the inside. J.R. was very passionate. He loved to play guitar and sing for people. He didn't want people to hear his music. He wanted them to feel his groove. May he find the peace he so fervently searched for here with us.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today, with pastors Ray Sewell and Nate Ammon officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Winston Oliver Williford Sr. Memorial Fund.

Online condolences may be made at fordandsonsfuneralhome.com.
