JACKSON -- Funeral service for Winifred "Winnie" Nitsch of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Otto Steinhaus and O. David Griffin will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to service time.

Nitsch, 73, died Wednesday, April 13, 1994, at her home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Lincoln County, Kan., daughter of Charles H. and Clara Donley Lonberger. She and Eugene H. Nitsch were married Feb. 8, 1941.

Nitsch had worked at International Shoe Co. and Jackson Hosiery Mill. She and her husband also owned and operated Home Improvement Products a number of years. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church here, and Elks Ladies in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Bette Burris of Jackson, Jolene Daugherty of Louisville, Ky., Linda Gotham of Jefferson City, Delores Rothermick of Lebanon, Tenn.; a brother, Dean Lonberger of Lincoln, Kan.; three sisters, Mary Jeffers of Lincoln, Ruth Crawford of Denmark, Kan., Ethel Fancher of Salina, Kan., and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandson.
