WILSON MCDOWELL

CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Wilson McDowell, Charleston Route 3, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Richard Combs will officiate, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Fruitland.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

McDowell was born Sept. 13, 1907, at Fruitland, son of W.H. and Hettie Noland McDowell. He and Mildred Tant were married Oct. 14, 1928.

McDowell was a retired farmer, and member of First Presbyterian Church at Jackson.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Byron and Kenneth McDowell, Charleston Route 3; two daughters, Martha Boone of Butler, Carolyn Burcks, Charleston Route 3; a brother, Allen McDowell of Fruitland; a sister, Lora Rieman of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-stepgrandchildren.
