PERRYVILLE -- Wilson "Dick" Franklin, 84, of Perryville, died Sunday, April 21, 1996, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He was born Sept. 2, 1911, in Lithium, son of Thomas and Frances Schulte Franklin. He and Bessie Irene Powers were married Sept. 10, 1930. She died Sept. 18, 1995.
Franklin had been a road construction worker.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Franklin of Council Bluffs, Joe Franklin of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three daughters, Loretta of Rising Fawn, Ga., Linda Bock of Ellington, Susan Hornberger of Munfordville, Ky.; a sister, Ethel Weisler of Creve Coeur; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to service time.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
