DEXTER -- Wilma L. Southerland, 84, of St. Louis died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at the Charlevoix Health Care Center in St. Charles.
She was born on June 14, 1913, daughter of Ira and Daisy Agnes Fields Thrower.
She was a former resident of Dexter but had lived in the St. Louis area since 1956. She was employed at the St. Louis Bureau for the Blind for 15 years as a secretary and telephone operator.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Ray Southerland of Cahokia, Ill., and Larry Gene Southerland of Wentzville; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral, with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. Burial will be in the Caroline Dowdy (Old Bethel) Cemetery near Dexter.
