Wilma Maedean Shell, 85, of Jackson passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 11, 1927, to John Paintney and Anna Mae Garland Long.

Wilma was a bookkeeper and secretary for several employers, and a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Linda Boyd Shell of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Alexander Shell and Brian (Jenni) Boyd; a great-grandchild, Connor Boyd, all of Durham, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Aldon Lester Shell; an infant brother, Buford Long; another brother, Milford Long; and a sister, Melba Elledge.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the Hurricane Fork church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Jimmie Fulbright and Jerry Sander officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
