WILMA PFEFFERKORN

ORAN -- Wilma June Pfefferkorn, 81, of Oran died Friday, June 26, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, Ill.

She was born Feb. 22, 1917, at Chaffee, daughter of Adam John and Lula Unnerstall Halter. She and Raymond Joseph Pfefferkorn were married July 5, 1940. He died March 29, 1965.

Pfefferkorn retired as a manager at Chaffee-Oran Lumber Co. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Sodality, Oran Chamber of Commerce; Elks Ladies 1810, VFW Auxiliary 3127, and American Legion Auxiliary 389, all of Chaffee.

She moved to Oran in 1940 from Chaffee.

Survivors include a stepson, Paul Pfefferkorn of Chaffee; and two stepbrothers, John and Norman Morgan of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. Sunday. Parish Prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
