Willis D. Segraves, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Ratliff Care Center.

He was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Biggers, Ark., son of Daly and Lillian Ingram Segraves. He and Joan Stone were married March 21, 1957, in Benton, Mo.

During the Korean conflict he served as a munitions instructor at Fort Bliss, Texas.

He graduated from Moler Barber College in St. Louis in 1954. He moved to Cape Girardeau in January 1957 to work at College Barber Shop. He later purchased Varsity Barber Shop and was a barber on Broadway 49 years. He was a 45-year member of St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93, having served as worshipful master in 1982 and 2002.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Segraves of Cape Girardeau; a son, Keith (Denise) Segraves of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Paula McClain of Sikeston, Mo.; two grandchildren, Greg Segraves and Amy Segraves of St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be at 7:30.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon and Kurt Schuermann officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice or to Grace United Methodist Church.
