PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Willis A. Lohmann, 76, of Farrar, Mo., died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.
He was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Farrar, son of Edwin J. and Lydia Hadler Lohmann. He and Margie E. Petzoldt were married Aug. 18, 1956.
Lohmann was a truck driver for MFA and a school bus driver. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and a U.S. Marine veteran in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Lohmann of Farrar; two sons, Ronald Lohmann and Paul Lohmann both of Perryville; four daughters, Barbara Wachter of Altenburg, Linda Best of Uniontown, Mo., Sandra Bachmann of Perryville and Diane Meyer of Frohna; a brother, Emil Lohmann of Altenburg; three sisters, Olga Kuntze of Altenburg, Jane Hummert of Imperial and Becky Bohnert of Perryville; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, his stepmother and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. American Legion wake service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Church cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the American Legion Post 133.
