Willis L. Ervin, 83, 918 W. Cape Rock Drive, died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1908, at Whitewater, son of Ancell and Leona Hargis Ervin. He and Jeanette Givens were married Jan. 14, 1933, at Benton.
Ervin owned and operated Ervin Upholstery at Farmington from 1960-84, and later was an upholsterer at Rust and Martin here.
He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church, and veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Ervin of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Carol Scholl of Jackson; a sister, Nada Young of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
