SIKESTON, Mo. -- Willie Mae Wiggins, 73, of Sikeston died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born May 8, 1931, at Famous, Mo., daughter of William and Bertha Mae Decker Nicholson. She was a member of Greer's Chapel Baptist Church. She was co-owner and operator of Wiggins Cafe in Sikeston for 30 years before retiring.
Survivors include five sons, Gary, Louis, Jim and Fred Wiggins, all of Sikeston, and Larry Wiggins of Peoria, Ill; three daughters, Juanita Pearson, Dorothy Thornton and Barbara Thompson, all of Sikeston; three sisters, Evelyn Brandy and Erma Hyler of Sikeston, Ernestine Davis of Kansas City; four brothers, William Nicholson Jr., Thurman, Eddie and James "Pig" Nicholson, all of Kansas City; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pluitt Gayle Wiggins; two daughters, a sister, two brothers and two granddaughters.
A graveside service will be at noon Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
