WILLIE WELLBORN

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Mrs. Willie Wellborn of East Prairie was held Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Martin Lucas officiated, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Mrs. Wellborn, 76 years old, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Lovelaceville, Ky., daughter of Miller and Zura Timmons Hinchey. She married William Hunt Wellborn Sr. June 1, 1937.

Mrs. Wellborn owned and operated Billie's Beauty Shop here many yeas. She was a member of First Christian Church, Mississippi County Conservation Association, and the former Mississippi County Art League.

Survivors include her husband; a son, William Wellborn Jr. of Bartlesville, Okla.; a daughter, Edna Pain of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Charles Hinchey of St. Louis; a sister, Della Lindley of St. Louis; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
