Willie James Mosley, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1927, at Benton, son of Charlie and Alberta Carter Mosley. He and Thelma Campbell were married Sept. 16, 1950, in Osceola, Ark.
Mosley was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; seven sons, Willie, Ricky and Scottie Mosley of Cape Girardeau, Jackie Mosley of Malden, Richard Mosley of Ardmore, Okla., Gary Mosley of Milwaukee, Wis., and Danny Mosley of St. Louis.
Also surviving are three daughters, Ramona Boler and Betty Matthews of Chicago, Shirley Spradley of St. Louis; a brother, C.J. Mosley of Gary, Ind.; two sisters, Lenetta Colon of Red Oak, Texas, Lillie Gray of Gary; 30 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Bethel Church, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
