PERRYVILLE -- William H. "Willie" Laurentius, 72, of Perryville died Friday, April 14, 2000, at his home.
He was born Jan. 23, 1928, at Hildenbrand, son of Henry and Emma Lee Laurentius. He and Marie Hennemann were married July 19, 1952. She died Jan. 19, 1999.
Laurentius retired as owner of West Side Tavern. He had also worked at Prince Gardner, and had been a janitor at Perryville High School.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post 4282, American Legion Post 133 and AmVets Post 94. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Laurentius of St. Louis; a sister, Lorene Klobe of Granite City, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
