WYATT, Mo. -- Willie Jackson, 88, of Wyatt died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born June 15, 1914, at Round Pond, Ark., son of Wills and Hattie Jackson. He and Ida Mae Jackson were married in 1934. He and Susie Mae Hearn were married in 1971.
Jackson was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his wife; eight daughters, Willie Davidson, Remal Orr, Argusta Lucas, Evelyn Sherman and Neomia Young of Detroit, Mich., Artenser Durrah of Upper Marlboro, Md., Pat Jackson and Charvette Clavin of Sikeston; and two stepsons, the Rev. Elvin and James Greer of Wyatt.
Also surviving is a brother, Tom Thomas of Compton, Calif.; four sisters, Lucinda Johnson and Argusta Baker of Forest City, Ark., Stella Barton of Compton, Calif., Grace Dudley of Cleveland, Ohio; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Faith Temple Church after 11:30 a.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with Limmie Pulliam officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston, Mo.
Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
