William Ronald Weaver, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born July 5, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., son of Henry Clay and Margie Fleming Weaver. He and Harriet Smallfield were married July 7, 1952, in Kansas City.

Weaver was a graduate of East High School in Kansas City, and received bachelor of science and master degrees in education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a teacher at Horn High School in Independence, Mo., 25 years, retiring in 1984. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1996 from Overland Park, Kan.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dwight Weaver of Leavenworth, Kan., Clyde Weaver of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Claudia Weaver of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

There is no visitation or service.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
