SCOTT CITY -- William W. Hollis, 64, of Scott City, died Tuesday, July 30, 1996, at the Cape Girardeau Care Center.
He was born March 6, 1932, in Vanduser, son of the late Barton and Goldie McDaniel Hollis. He married Charline Acey on Aug. 20, 1949.
He was a retired welder and worked for Standley-Batch Systems in Cape Girardeau.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, William and Gary Hollis, both of Scott City; one daughter, Pat Lizenbee of Chaffee; one brother, James B. Hollis of St. Louis; two sisters, Ruth Shelton of Bloomfield and Juanita Kirby of Galesburg, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Rev. Ken Strong officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
