ANNA, Ill. -- William Franklin Toler, 74, of Anna died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at City Care Center in Anna. He was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Carbondale, son of Samuel W. and Lillian Whiteside Toler. He and Evelyn June Milton were married April 23, 1953, in Anna. She died Sept. 23, 1998...

ANNA, Ill. -- William Franklin Toler, 74, of Anna died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at City Care Center in Anna.

He was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Carbondale, son of Samuel W. and Lillian Whiteside Toler. He and Evelyn June Milton were married April 23, 1953, in Anna. She died Sept. 23, 1998.

Toler was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna, a veteran of World War II and was a manager at the Holiday Inn Motel before retiring. He also had operated a storage business.

Survivors include three sons, Don and Brad Toler of Boynton Beach, Fla., David Toler of Cleveland, Ohio; a stepsister, Maxine Gulletter of Galesburg; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Shacklee officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
