BELL CITY -- William "Odus" Strobel, 79, of Bell City, died Monday, March 27, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 22, 1915, at Swinton, son of William Elmer and Bertha Mann Strobel. He and Clem Simpher were married Aug. 19, 1936, in Cape Girardeau County. She died Oct. 30, 1994...

BELL CITY -- William "Odus" Strobel, 79, of Bell City, died Monday, March 27, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 22, 1915, at Swinton, son of William Elmer and Bertha Mann Strobel. He and Clem Simpher were married Aug. 19, 1936, in Cape Girardeau County. She died Oct. 30, 1994.

Strobel was a farmer. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Eagles Aerie and Elks Lodge in Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Strobel of Bell City, Gary Strobel of Tallulah, La.; a brother, Henry Strobel of Advance; a sister, Earie Bartolo of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Revs. Leonard Chambers and Frederick Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
