ANNISTON, Mo. -- William Dale "Bill" Stewart Sr., 76, of Anniston died Friday, May 16, 2008, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
He was born Sept. 16, 1931, at East Prairie, Mo., son of Joel Stewart and Thelma Wallace Stewart Irving.
Stewart was a retired mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include three sons, William D. Stewart Jr. of Benton, Mo., Michael L. Stewart of Plummer, Idaho, Cary W. Stewart of Anniston; two daughters, Tammy Eiffert and Kathy Haynes, both of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, James Stewart of East Prairie, Michael Stewart of Scott City; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with J.D. McClard officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
