ULLIN, Ill. -- William Joe Sichling, 70, of Ullin died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 26, 1942, in Ullin, son of Harry O. and Minnie O. Dunn Sichling. He and Kay Messemore were married June 6, 1976.
Sichling had worked at E.L. Bruce Lumber, Illinois Central Railroad, Florsheim Shoe Co., Ullin Auto Body, Cheek Oil and VIP Taxi.
Survivors include his wife, Kay of Ullin; a son, Brandon Joe Sichling of McClure, Ill.; three granddaughters, Mickayla Aryann, Hannah Jo and Abigayle Lizabeth Sichling; a stepson, Jerrell Gene Thieke Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; a stepgranddaughter, Brianna Michelle Thieke; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty; two sisters, Lisabeth Sichling and Gladys Hodge.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin.
Graveside service will follow at Butter Ridge Cemetery, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating.
Donations may be made to Crain Funeral Home to help offset expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
