PRINCETON, Ky. -- William L. "Bill" Schaefer, 71, of Princeton passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at his home.
He was a pattern designer for Rawlings Sporting Goods, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Navy veteran, animal lover, seamster, ballroom dance instructor and licensed cosmetologist.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Johnston Schaefer; three daughters, Rachel Schaefer of Princeton, Bridget Schaefer of Marion, Kentucky, and Gretchen (Jason) Neumann of Clarkston, Michigan; three sons, Alex William (Rebecca) Schaefer of Nabb, Indiana, Adam (Jessica) Schaefer of Paducah, Kentucky, and Caleb A. (Mindy) Schaefer of Olympia, Washington; two sisters, Karen Schaefer of Jackson and Theresa Ho of Plainfield, Illinois; five brothers, Don Schaefer of Cape Girardeau, Joe Schaefer of St. Peters, Missouri, Ken Schaefer of Cape Girardeau, Jim Schaefer of Barnhart, Missouri, and Eddie Schaefer of Perryville, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Bernard and Jean Bernice Rusanowski Schaefer; a daughter, Chantell Schaefer; and three sisters, Mary Ann Schaefer, Louise Schaefer and Helen Schaefer.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton.
Funeral will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Brother Fred Ahrens officiating and with military services.
