KELSO, Mo. -- William Owen "Bill" Rogers, 91 of Kelso died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Scott City to Owen J. and Anna Welter Rogers. He married LaVerne Elizabeth Corvick on May 29, 1948, in Kelso. She preceded him in death July 24, 2009.
He was a supervisor at Florsheim Shoe Co. and retired from HWI. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 in Scott City and was a 4th Degree St. Joseph Assembly 2283.
He is survived by a brother, Charles Rogers of Arnold, Missouri; two sisters, Margaret Parker of Ellisville, Missouri, and Mary Ann Bles of Vinita, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Darlene DeLong of Kelso; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Owen "Cotton" Rogers.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
