William Rigby Jr.

STURDIVANT, Mo. -- William Henry "Willie Burton" Rigby Jr., 54, of Sturdivant passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at his home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1956, in Blytheville, Ark., son of William Henry Rigby and Delsie Elizabeth Driskill Burton.

He served in the U.S. Navy 14 years.

Rigby worked eight years with Luhr Brothers Barge Line in Cape Girardeau.

He is survived by an aunt, Mary Long of Zalma, Mo.; an uncle, Robert Driskill of Perkins, Mo.; and other relatives and lifelong friends.

Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo., is in charge of arrangements, which will be private.
