William Junior Penny, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, son of James Louis and Alma Lilly Davis Penny. William Junior Penny, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, son of James Louis and Alma Lilly Davis Penny.

Penny was a sports coordinator at the University Club in Chicago. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1995. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three brothers, Robert Edwards of St. Louis, Steve Edwards of Cape Girardeau, Joe Penny of Chicago; three sisters, Rose White, Catherine Edwards and Mary Squires, all of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Howard McGee Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
