MEXICO, Mo. -- William Edward O'Donnell, 89, of Mexico entered into the arms of his Lord Jesus Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. Loving husband of 67 years of the late Nylahmae O'Donnell; beloved father of Sue (John) Berger, Jeanette (Larry) Blincoe, Pat (Dale) Sluhan; grandfather; great-grandfather; great-great-grandfather; dear brother of Joseph G. Collias (Marjorie) and Jean N. Collias (late Geri); dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many...

MEXICO, Mo. -- William Edward O'Donnell, 89, of Mexico entered into the arms of his Lord Jesus Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012.

Loving husband of 67 years of the late Nylahmae O'Donnell; beloved father of Sue (John) Berger, Jeanette (Larry) Blincoe, Pat (Dale) Sluhan; grandfather; great-grandfather; great-great-grandfather; dear brother of Joseph G. Collias (Marjorie) and Jean N. Collias (late Geri); dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Jesse; and a grandson, Derek Jason Sluhan.

O'Donnell was a World War II Navy veteran.

He worked for Kenneth E. Wischmeyer & Partners. He was an architect 32 years until retiring in 1986.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 12, 2013, at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 13200 New Halls Ferry Road, Florissant, Mo.

Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico is in charge of arrangements.

Donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, The Gideons International, or John Knox Presbyterian Church.
