GLEN ALLEN -- William N. Whitener, 66, of Nazareth, Pa., died Monday, Oct. 18, 1993, at St. Luke Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa.
He was born Jan. 16, 1927, at Glen Allen, son of John and Ethel Underwood Whitener. He and Roselyn Martin were married Oct. 15, 1949.
Whitener was a retired plant manager with Air-Co Gasses Co. in Bethlehem. He was a member of Third Baptist Church in St. Louis, and Sons of the Revolution. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Whitener of Nazareth; his mother of St. Louis; two brothers, Jim Whitener of St. Louis, John Whitener of Mobile, Ala., and a grandson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, with Charles Hawn officiating. Burial will be in Old Trace Creek Cemetery, with graveside rites by VFW Post 5900 of Marble Hill.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Thursday.
