William Royce Morgan, 79, of Ripley County, Mo., died Monday, March 20, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Morgan was co-publisher of the Ozark Graphic 15 years. William Royce Morgan, 79, of Ripley County, Mo., died Monday, March 20, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Morgan was co-publisher of the Ozark Graphic 15 years. He was news director at KGMO Radio in Cape Girardeau in the mid-1960s and used the on-air name Bill Royce. In later years he served Doniphan and Ripley County in a law enforcement capacity.

He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Survivors include four daughters, Laverne Kramme of DeSoto, Mo., Billie Watkins and Rachel Morgan of St. Louis, Robinne Taylor of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Glennis George of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at his home from noon to 2 p.m. today.

Burial will be near his home after 2 p.m.
