William M. Burns, 64, of the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau, died there Sunday, March 22, 1992.
He was born Feb. 10, 1928, at Oakland, Miss., the son of William H. and Pearl Pipkin Burns. On June 22, 1957, he married Ruby Pulliam Angle, who preceded him in death July 15, 1990.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, where he served in the army. He was a self-employed laborer.
Survivors include two stepsons, John and Jimmy Angle of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Teresa Moit of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Betty Huckabee of Scott City; three brothers, Larmar Burns of Houston, Texas, Milton Burns of Sanatobia, Miss. and Carson Burns of Jackson; two sisters, Lula Beth Porter of Coffeeville, Miss. and Mattie Francis Latza of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Earl Cox will officiate, and burial will be in the Pulliam Cemetery at Scopus.
