William "Ben" Lynch Jr., 87, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Friday, May 13, 2011, at Arkansas Hospice Care Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1924, in Atkins, to William B. and Ida Fronabarger Lynch Sr.
He was a member of Bells Chapel United Methodist Church.
Lynch was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son, William David Lynch of Cape Girardeau; a daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Ben Parker of Little Rock; mother of his children, Juanita Lynch; grandchildren, Kerri Akers and Tim; grandson, Kyle Martin; and a great-granddaughter, Chloe Akers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Ruby Richardson and Annie Lynch.
Graveside service with military honors was Tuesday at Atkins City Cemetery, with the Revs. Robert Woody and Paul Holderfield officiating.
Pallbearers were Carl Hillis, Regan Strawn, Tim Parker, Tim Akers, Kyle Martin and Aaron Parker.
