William Lee O'Howell, 72, of Route 1, Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 4, 1921, at Cape Girardeau, the son of John William and Nancy Ballard O'Howell. On May 20, 1944, he married Mattie D. Young, who survives of the home.
He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, where he was a deacon, a church board member and a Sunday school teacher.
Other survivors include a son, Edward O'Howell of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donna Gentry of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Willard O'Howell of California; two sisters, Helen Perry and Nancy Rees, both of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Wesley Rider will officiate, and burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
