WILLIAM L. HOWARD

SIKESTON -- William L. Howard, 78, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Clarksdale, Miss., son of Will and Luella Smith Howard. He had lived in Missouri since 1951.

He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Anderson Howard of St. Louis; two sons, William A. Howard of Marion, Ind., and James Edward Howard of Chicago; a daughter, Barbara Crowley of St. Louis; a stepdaughter, Ethel Howard; 45 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Sylvester Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston. The Williams-Farr and Parnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
