William "Tom" Kluesner, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 20, 1935, at St. Joseph, Tenn., son of Frank and Monica Reischman Kluesner. He and Mary Horrell were married Jan. 7, 1956, in Jackson, Mo. She passed away March 3, 1998...

William "Tom" Kluesner, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 20, 1935, at St. Joseph, Tenn., son of Frank and Monica Reischman Kluesner. He and Mary Horrell were married Jan. 7, 1956, in Jackson, Mo. She passed away March 3, 1998.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. Kluesner was the former owner/ operator of Kluesner Construction Co. He worked for Mid-America Hotels from 1980 to 1996.

Kluesner was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau, Bishop Timon KC Council 6405 of Jackson, Elks Lodge 639 in Cape Girardeau. He received the Elk of the year award for 1977 to 1978.

Survivors include three sons, Tim Kluesner and wife Renee, Keith Kluesner and wife Beverly, Randy Kluesner and wife Pam, all of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Debbie Reiminger and husband Robert of Cape Girardeau, Cindy Rigdon and husband Vincent of Jackson, Brenda McBride and husband Ron of Jackson; four brothers, Joe Kluesner, A.J. Kluesner, both of Cape Girardeau, Buster Kluesner of Kelso, Mo., Walter Kluesner of Chaffee, Mo.; five sisters, Frances Scheeter of Benton, Mo., Willie Scheeter of Chaffee, Florence Brucker of New Hamburg, Mo., Clairene Priest of Cape Girardeau, Diane Lovell of Anna, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today; vigil service at 7 p.m.; KC rosary by Bishop Timon Council 6405 at 7:30 p.m.

Service will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Derek Swanson officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

Full military honors by the Missouri Honor Team.
