William A. Kiehne, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 20, 1922, in Cape Girardeau to William H. and Clara Grossheider Kiehne.

He and Marilyn J. Rains were married Dec. 25, 1942, at Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of St. Mary Cathedral. Mr. Kiehne served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as a flight instructor. He was a member of the Cape Jaycees and the Downtown Rotary Club. He enjoyed golf, loved to play bridge, and was a beloved dad and grandpa.

Survivors include two sons, William H. (Rosemary) Kiehne of Pardeeville, Wisconsin, Tom (Sandra) Kiehne of St. Louis; a daughter, Mary Jo (William) Masterson of St. Louis; grandchildren Dave Masterson, Mark Masterson, Kathy Alexander, Christi Barden, JT Kiehne, Chris Talley, Meghan Tyson, Will Kiehne and Emily Kiehne; and great-grandchildren Kylee Barden, Max Barden, Abby Masterson, Andrew Masterson and Ella Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Patricia Talley; grandson, Michael Masterson; brother, Charles Kiehne; and three sisters, Viola Fisher, Eileen Kasten and Kit Sievers.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary Cathedral or to the American Cancer Society.
