WILLIAM J. TRANKLER

NEW HAMBURG -- William John Trankler, 64, of New Hamburg, died Monday, Feb. 17, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 17, 1927, in St. Louis, son of William Joseph and Wilhemenia Brands Trankler. He and Viola Mary Glueck Blattel were married June 30, 1973.

Trankler was a retired self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and St. Joseph Sodality.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Bobby Blattel of New HaMburg; a stepdaughter, Janet Verhines of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Chris Trankler of Chaffee, Milford Trankler of St. Peters; two sisters, Marie Eftink of Oran, Alma Welch of Salem, and three stepgrandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Church. The Rev. Alois Stevens will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. The parish rosary will be at 7.
