CACHE, Ill. -- Funeral for William L. Hall of Mayfield, Ky., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds. The Rev. Roger Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Hall, 78, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

He was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Cache, son of John R. and Tiline Doom Hall.

Hall had been a mechanic at Murphy's Service Station in Mound City and at Bauer Brothers 66 Station in Cairo. He was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church in Sandusky.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; four daughters, Theresa Cebrian of Prattville, Ala., Ruby Hall-Moore of Mound City, Sharon Hall of East Prairie, Mo., April Burton of Unity; 10 sons, Michael and William Craig Hall of Wingo, Ky., Gary Hall of Mayfield, Terry Hall of Folsomdale, Ky., William Lee Hall of Tamms, Gary Hall of Mound City, Ricky Hall of Reidland, Ky., Robert Hall of Cape Girardeau, Bob and Gary Thompson of Mercer, Pa.; a brother, Robert Hall of Louisiana; 38 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters and several brothers and sisters.
