Funeral service for William H. "Bill" Stickler, 2551 Ranchito, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Charles B. Dreyer will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8:30 p.m. today. There will be an Order of Amaranth service at 7:30, and Masonic service at 8.

Stickler, 72, died Monday, May 2, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 14, 1921, at Delta, son of William H. and Velma Martin Stickler. He and Martha Schafer were married July 8, 1944, in Cape Girardeau.

Stickler had worked at Harris Motor Car Co., and retired as a mechanic from Jim Wilson Co. in 1986. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of St. Louis Conclave Red Cross of Constantine, Missouri Priory 17 KYCH, Moolah Temple Shrine of St. Louis, Cape Shrine Club, and Board of Masonic Temple Association.

Stickler was past master of St. Mark Masonic Lodge 93, past high priest of Wilson Chapter 55, past commander of Cape Girardeau Commandery 75, past illustrious master of Cape Council, past president of Area High 12, past watchman of Calvary Shrine 8, past patron of St. Mark Order of Eastern Star 167, past royal patron of Cape Royal Court 14, and past grand royal patron of Order of the Amaranth State of Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, and a son, Wayne Stickler of Independence.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
