SIKESTON -- William H. "Bill" Gentry, 73, of Sikeston, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 13, 1921, in Booneville, Miss., son of Clovis A. and Nellie Smith Gentry. He and Dorothy L. Mullis were married Sept. 26, 1942, in Blytheville, Ark.
Gentry was manager of Lemons Coin Machines of Sikeston 25 years. He was a member of Sikeston Eagles 3319, Shrine Club, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Billy Gentry of Waupun, Wis., Bobby, Jerry and Mike Gentry of Sikeston, Garry Gentry of Green Bay, Wis.; three daughters, Barbara Smith of Wyatt, Debbie White of Miner, Tami Heavener of Sikeston; two brothers, Lee and Charles Gentry of Booneville; two sisters, Polly Smith of Germantown, Tenn., Zannie Holmes of Odessa, Texas; stepmother, Grace Gentry of Booneville; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dolan Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
