ADVANCE -- William L. Goad Sr., 90, formerly of Scott City, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Livingston Manor in Pontiac, Ill.
He was born June 10, 1908, in Stoddard County, son of William and Jane Bollinger Goad. He and Mary Dae Litteral were married in August 1929. She died Aug. 30, 1978.
Goad retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Joliet, Ill., where he worked 18 years.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Goad Jr. of Chaffee, Edwin Goad of Centerville, Ill., Marvin Goad of Joliet; four daughters, Joan Fellers of Forrest, Ill., Wanda Rambo of Pontiac, Karen Brant of Fort Wayne, Ind., Judy Colcausure of Decatur, Ind.; 27 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. R.L. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
