Funeral service for William E. Harris of Hot Springs Village, Ark., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Caruth Village Funeral Chapel there, with the Rev. Samuel Pope officiating.
Harris, 70, died Saturday, June 10, 1995, in a hospital there.
He was born June 23, 1924, in Prattsville, Ark., son of Elmer and Elsie Harris. He first married Nedra Wright, who preceded him in death.
Harris was a retired communications supervisor with Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America. He was a member of Kirk in the Pines Presbyterian Church, and chaplain and past state commander of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Velma; two sons, Jim Harris of Cape Girardeau, Max Harris of Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska; a daughter, Barbara Middlekauff of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, James Harris of Pearl River, La., Aubrey Harris of DeRidder, La.; four sisters, Mildred Brown of Rison, Ark., Ruby Davenport of Irving, Texas, Armetha Harris of Emmett, Idaho, Kathryn Duncan of Cabot, Ark., and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son.
